I keep a squeegee/sponge in my car and use it with a spray bottle of windshield cleaner to clear the windshield of dirt, bug splatter, etc, etc, etc… as often as I can and it has helped to extend the life of the blades. Bought my GT Stang new in 2005 and, after 6 years, the blades are just now beginning to streak so I’m going to have to replace them soon.

They get replaced. Then I know i'm good through Spring, Summer & the Fall.

But only if your able to get it applied correctly. I usually swap out my wipers when I'm better off not turning them on.
